Cutty Sark is an iconic brand of blended Scotch whisky, easily identified by its signature yellow label and the illustration of the famous tea clipper ship for which it is named. Created in 1923 by Berry Bros. & Rudd, the brand was specifically designed to appeal to the international market with a lighter, more accessible flavor profile compared to heavier traditional malts.

Throughout its history, the brand has changed hands several times. After being owned by the Edrington Group for many years, it was acquired in late 2018 by the French drinks group La Martiniquaise. Today, the whisky continues to be produced and bottled in Scotland to maintain its geographical protected status, while its global distribution is managed from France.
