Optisana Alcohol 96º Antiseptic

Optisana Alcohol 96º Antiseptic is a topical solution intended for skin disinfection. It was produced by Laboratorios Montplet, S.L.U., a Spanish pharmaceutical company. In June 2023, the Spanish Agency of Medicines and Medical Devices (AEMPS) ordered the withdrawal of this product from the market due to labeling inaccuracies. The label incorrectly stated that the product contained 96% ethyl alcohol reinforced with benzalkonium chloride, when it actually contained hydrogen peroxide (water oxygenated).
