Moser Roth is a premium chocolate brand primarily available at Aldi supermarkets. The brand has a heritage dating back to 1841 when it was founded in Stuttgart by Wilhelm Roth Jr. In 1896, the company merged with its competitor, E. O. Moser & Cie, to form the Moser-Roth company, which once operated one of the largest chocolate factories in Germany.

Following a turbulent history during the mid-20th century, the brand name was eventually acquired by the German confectionery giant August Storck KG. Today, Moser Roth is produced as an exclusive private label for Aldi. Manufacturing is conducted at Storck's production facilities in Germany, notably in Berlin and Halle, ensuring the high quality and craftsmanship associated with German chocolate traditions. The brand remains under the ultimate ownership of August Storck KG, a family-owned company known for iconic brands like Werther's Original and Merci.
