Originally providing supplies for major polar expeditions, the brand became a household name synonymous with quality and tradition.

While the brand maintains its deep Danish roots and continues to be manufactured in Denmark (at Orkla's facilities such as those in Skælskør or Svinninge), its ownership has evolved. In 1995, the brand was acquired by the Norwegian conglomerate Orkla ASA. Today, it is managed under the subsidiary Orkla Foods Danmark. The label often features the 'Vega' ship, a nod to the 19th-century Swedish expedition ship for which Beauvais provided provisions, symbolizing the brand's long historical legacy.
