Clausthaler Extra Herb non-alcoholic beer

Clausthaler is widely recognized as a global pioneer in the non-alcoholic beer segment. Originally developed in the 1970s by the Binding-Brauerei in Frankfurt, Germany, it was the first brand to successfully market a beer brewed specifically to be alcohol-free rather than having the alcohol removed after production. The 'Extra Herb' (Extra Hoppy) variant specifically was launched in 1995 to cater to consumers seeking a more intense, bitter pilsner profile without the alcohol content.

Today, the brand is part of the Radeberger Gruppe, Germany's largest brewing group. While it originated in Frankfurt, production has shifted over the years to other state-of-the-art facilities within the group's network, most notably the Dortmunder Actien-Brauerei in Dortmund. The brand remains a cornerstone of German brewing innovation and is exported to over 50 countries worldwide.
