Originally established in 1892 as the 'Berner Alpenmilch Gesellschaft', the brand became a staple in German households for high-quality condensed milk and coffee cream. For many decades, it was part of the Nestlé portfolio. However, in 2003, it was acquired by the Hochwald Group. Today, the product is primarily manufactured in Germany, maintaining its status as a premium brand in the dairy sector. The brand continues to focus on traditional dairy production while expanding into fresh milk and milk drinks under the ownership of the Hochwald dairy cooperative.
