Carte Noire Décaféiné Pur Arabica Coffee

Carte Noire is an iconic French coffee brand founded in 1978 by René Monnier. Positioned as a premium pure arabica brand in France, it quickly grew to become one of the most prominent coffee names in French supermarkets.

Over the decades, Carte Noire changed ownership multiple times. Originally acquired by Jacobs Suchard, it passed into Kraft General Foods and subsequently Mondelēz International. To comply with antitrust regulations during the formation of Jacobs Douwe Egberts (JDE) in 2015, the Carte Noire brand was acquired by the renowned Italian coffee manufacturer Luigi Lavazza S.p.A. in 2016.

Carte Noire's roasting and ground coffee manufacturing operations take place in France, primarily at its historic production facility in Lavérune, near Montpellier.
