Eichbaum Beer

Eichbaum is one of the oldest and most established private brewing brands in Germany, founded in 1635 in Mannheim by Jean du Chêne (whose French surname translates to 'oak tree' or 'Eichbaum' in German). Over nearly four centuries of operation, the brewery has grown into a major regional producer in Baden-Württemberg while also developing a broad national and international export footprint. It offers a wide variety of traditional German beer styles, including pilsners, hefeweizen, bocks, and malt beverages.

All authentic Eichbaum beers are brewed, bottled, and canned at the company's central brewing facility located in Mannheim, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. The production strictly adheres to the traditional German Purity Law (Reinheitsgebot), utilizing locally sourced water and traditional German brewing ingredients.

Formerly owned for several decades by larger brewing groups such as Henninger and later Actris, Eichbaum returned to full independence in late 2009 via a management buyout. Today, it is owned and operated by Privatbrauerei Eichbaum GmbH & Co. KG, an independent German regional brewing enterprise based in Mannheim.
