ONLYOFFICE is an open-source office productivity suite developed for editing documents, spreadsheets, presentations, forms, and PDFs. It was originally launched in 2009 under the name TeamLab by Lev Bannov and software developers at CJSC New Communication Technologies (NCT) in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia. In 2014, the software platform was rebranded as ONLYOFFICE to reflect its expanded online document collaboration capabilities.

Over the years, the intellectual property, commercial operations, and international corporate headquarters were restructured and relocated to the European Union. Today, the development and management of ONLYOFFICE are operated by Ascensio System SIA, a European tech company headquartered in Riga, Latvia. The software is developed primarily in Latvia and across distributed European and international developer hubs.

ONLYOFFICE operates on an open-source business model under the GNU AGPL v3 license for its community editions, alongside offering proprietary commercial editions and cloud-hosted collaboration tools to business and public-sector clients worldwide.
