Hacendado is the private label brand for packaged food and grocery items owned exclusively by Mercadona S.A., Spain's leading supermarket chain founded and led by Juan Roig. Headquartered in Tavernes Blanques (Valencia, Spain), Mercadona markets a wide range of everyday food products under the Hacendado banner.

Manufacturing and Sourcing

As with all Mercadona private label products, Hacendado items are packed and processed by specialized interproviders (supplier partners). This product, Porciones de Merluza del Cabo (Cape hake portions), contains wild hake captured in the Southeast Atlantic (FAO 47, typically off South Africa or Namibia) using hook-and-line fishing methods, which is then processed, portioned, and packaged in Spain for Mercadona distribution.
