Brand Origin and History

Venum was founded in 2005 by Franck Dupuis and Jean-François Bandet in the Paris suburb of Rungis, France. Originally established to supply high-quality gear and apparel for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), the brand quickly gained international prominence through sponsorships of leading combat sports athletes. Today, Venum is one of the most recognizable combat sports lifestyle brands worldwide, known for its iconic snake fang logo and official apparel partnership with major combat sports organizations such as the UFC.

Manufacturing and Supply Chain

Venum designs its apparel, fight shorts, rashguards, and lifestyle collections in France, while production is outsourced to specialized manufacturing partners globally. Performance textiles, technical fight shorts, and compression wear are predominantly produced in specialized apparel hubs across Asia, including China, Pakistan, Vietnam, and Thailand, where martial arts gear craftsmanship is well-established.

Ownership Structure

Venum is operated and owned by Dragon Do / Venum Group (Venum SAS), headquartered in Rungis, France, and continues to be led by founder Franck Dupuis. The company manages global design, marketing, and distribution across Europe, the Americas, and Asia.
