Almdudler is Austria's most popular herbal soft drink, often referred to as the 'national drink of Austria.' The beverage was created in 1957 by Erwin Klein, who developed a unique blend of 32 natural alpine herbs, beet sugar, and soda water. The iconic name is derived from the phrase 'auf der Alm dudeln,' which means yodeling on the alpine pastures, reflecting its deep cultural roots in the Alps.

Today, the brand remains a symbol of Austrian heritage and is still produced in Austria. It is famous for its distinct glass bottle featuring a traditional couple in folk dress (Tracht). Unlike many global beverage brands that have been acquired by international conglomerates, Almdudler remains a strictly family-owned business, maintaining its independent status and original recipe for over six decades.
