Stolichnaya, widely known as Stoli, is a brand with a complex history rooted in the Soviet era. While historically associated with Moscow, the brand available in Western markets is produced by the Stoli Group in Latvia. Following the invasion of Ukraine in 2022, the brand underwent a significant rebranding to 'Stoli' to distance itself from Russian associations.

The production for global markets takes place at the Latvijas Balzams distillery in Riga, Latvia, using water from artesian wells and high-quality grain. The brand is currently under the ultimate ownership of the Stoli Group, a division of the SPI Group, which is a multi-national spirits company headquartered in Luxembourg. This distinct entity is separate from the state-owned Russian enterprise that uses the same name for products distributed within Russia.
