Eroski Anacardo Frito y Salado

Eroski Cashews (Anacardos) are a snack product sold under the private label of the Eroski cooperative. Originally founded in Elorrio, Biscay, in 1969, Eroski was established as a worker-consumer cooperative to consolidate various smaller grocery businesses in the Basque Country of Spain. Today, it remains one of the largest retail cooperatives in Europe.

The cashews themselves are sourced internationally but are processed, fried in sunflower oil, and packaged within Spain by contracted suppliers for the Eroski brand. The brand is part of the MCC (Mondragon Corporation), which is a global federation of worker cooperatives and the largest of its kind in the world. Eroski maintains a strong regional identity while operating hundreds of hypermarkets and supermarkets across Spain.
