Naïf was founded in 2013 by two fathers, Jochem Hes and Sjoerd Trompetter, who noticed that even baby care products contained harmful ingredients. Based in The Netherlands, the brand was built on the philosophy of "no-nonsense" skincare using natural ingredients. The company focuses on sustainable packaging and carbon-neutral production.

All Naïf products are developed and manufactured within The Netherlands to maintain strict quality control and minimize their carbon footprint. While the brand has expanded its distribution across Europe and internationally, the production core remains in its home country. The brand is currently owned by its original founders and private investment partners, maintaining its status as a Dutch-led sustainability champion in the personal care industry.
