Sanex is a well-known personal care brand specifically recognized for its focus on skin health and dermatological care. The brand was originally launched in 1984 by the Spanish company Laboratorios Sarbec, introducing the first soap-free bath and shower gel formulated for the mass market to maintain the skin's natural pH level.

Over the decades, the brand's ownership has transitioned through major global corporations. After being acquired by Unilever in the early 2000s, it was eventually sold to the American multinational Colgate-Palmolive in 2011 to satisfy competition requirements. Today, Colgate-Palmolive continues to own and manage the brand globally. While its origins are Spanish, Sanex products are now manufactured in several facilities across Europe, with a primary production hub located in Italy to serve the international market.
