Sense Original spread

Sense is a Dutch brand specializing in plant-based spreads. The product is a low-fat margarine (45% fat) enriched with vitamins and Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids, designed specifically for bread application. Historically part of a larger conglomerate's portfolio in the Netherlands, the brand is currently produced and managed by Upfield.

Upfield was formed in 2018 following the acquisition of Unilever's spreads division by the American investment firm KKR. Consequently, while the brand remains deeply rooted in the Dutch market with manufacturing and distribution concentrated in the Netherlands (Beesd), its ultimate ownership belongs to a global investment entity based in the United States.
