Spies is Denmark's leading travel agency, originally founded by the legendary entrepreneur Simon Spies in 1956. The brand became an iconic part of Danish travel culture, famous for its colorful founder and accessible charter vacations. Over the decades, the company evolved through various ownership structures, eventually becoming part of the Thomas Cook Group.

Following the collapse of Thomas Cook in 2019, Spies was acquired by a consortium led by the Norwegian billionaire Petter Stordalen (Strawberry), alongside private equity firms Altor and TDR Capital. Today, Spies operates as part of the Nordic Leisure Travel Group (NLTG), maintaining its strong heritage while leveraging a modernized pan-Nordic operational platform. The company continues to specialize in sun-and-beach package holidays, city breaks, and sports travel for the Danish market.
