Starbucks Caffè Latte chilled coffee

Starbucks chilled coffee beverages, such as the Caffè Latte shown, have a unique ownership structure. While the Starbucks brand originated in Seattle, Washington, in 1971, the ready-to-drink (RTD) products sold in retail stores are produced through a strategic partnership. In the European and Middle Eastern markets, these beverages are manufactured and distributed by Arla Foods.

Primarily produced in Denmark at Arla's state-of-the-art facilities, these products use 100% Arabica coffee sourced from Starbucks. Although Starbucks Corporation remains the ultimate owner of the brand name and intellectual property, the consumer-packaged goods division for chilled coffee is managed under a long-term licensing agreement with Nestlé and Arla Foods for specific global regions. This ensures that while the brand identity is American, the manufacturing and logistics are localized to maintain freshness and meet regional demand.
