Finish Protector

Finish Protector is a specialized additive designed for dishwashers to prevent glass corrosion and decorative fading. Originally launched in 1953 by the US-based Economics Laboratory (now Ecolab), the brand was created to address the growing popularity of household dishwashers. In 1987, the consumer products division of Ecolab was acquired by J.A. Benckiser, which later merged to become Reckitt Benckiser (now simply Reckitt).

Today, Finish is a global leader in the dishcare market. While the brand has American roots, it is now owned by the British multinational company Reckitt, headquartered in Slough, United Kingdom. Manufacturing for the Finish Protector specific product line is largely centered in Hungary, though Reckitt maintains a vast network of production facilities across Europe (including Poland) and North America to serve different regional markets. The product shown features bilingual Spanish and Portuguese packaging, typical for the Iberian market.
