Over the decades, Signal has become a leader in dental care innovation, being one of the first brands to incorporate fluoride for cavity protection.

Signal's manufacturing operations are widespread to support its global footprint. While many products sold in the European and Spanish markets are produced in regional facilities across Europe (such as France), the brand's supply chain spans multiple countries depending on the specific product line. Today, Signal is owned by the French company Elida Beauty, which was spun off from Unilever and subsequently acquired by the investment firm Yellow Wood Partners in 2024. In different territories, the brand is also marketed under various names such as Pepsodent, Mentadent, and Aim, all under the same corporate umbrella.
