Granko is an iconic instant cocoa drink brand with a rich history in Central Europe, specifically the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The name 'Granko' was selected in a 1979 public competition as an abbreviation of 'Granulated Cocoa'. Since its launch, it has become a staple breakfast and snack beverage in many households across the region.

Originally produced by the Czechoslovak state-owned enterprise Čokoládovny, the brand was part of the historic Orion confectionery portfolio founded by František Maršner in 1896. Following the privatization processes of the early 1990s, the brand and its parent company were eventually acquired by the Swiss multinational Nestlé.

Today, Granko remains a key brand under the Nestlé portfolio for the Czech and Slovak markets. It continues to be produced primarily in the Nestlé factory in Olomouc (Zora), Czech Republic, maintaining its local heritage while benefiting from the global supply chain and quality standards of its ultimate Swiss owner.
