The Vachon bakery was founded in 1923 by Arc-en-Ciel and Rose-Anna Vachon in Sainte-Marie, Beauce, Quebec, Canada. Over the decades, it grew into one of Canada's most beloved bakery brands, producing iconic snack cakes such as Jos Louis, Ah Caramel!, and Passion Flakie.

Today, the Vachon brand is owned by Bimbo Canada, which operates as a subsidiary of Grupo Bimbo S.A.B. de C.V., a major multinational bakery company headquartered in Mexico City, Mexico. Production remains primarily based in Sainte-Marie, Quebec, Canada, with products imported and sold through specialty retailers internationally, including across the United Kingdom.
