Swappie refurbished smartphone

Swappie is a Finnish circular economy technology company founded in Helsinki in 2016 by Sami Marttinen and Jiri Heinonen. The company specializes in the refurbishment and resale of used smartphones, primarily Apple iPhones, providing consumer electronics that have undergone technical testing, repairs, and quality control.

While original smartphone hardware is manufactured globally (primarily in China and India by Apple and its contract manufacturers like Foxconn), Swappie's refurbishment and diagnostic work is conducted primarily at its specialized operations facilities located in Tallinn, Estonia, as well as Helsinki, Finland.

Swappie is owned by its parent corporate entity, Swappie Oy, backed by prominent European venture capital and growth equity firms including Verdane and Lifeline Ventures. It operates across multiple European countries, including a strong presence in Sweden.
