Dia (Distribuidora Internacional de Alimentación, S.A.) is a well-known international supermarket chain founded in Madrid, Spain, in 1979. Created originally as a pioneer in the hard-discount retail sector in Spain, the chain revolutionized neighborhood grocery shopping by offering high-quality private-label items at competitive prices.

While Dia has operated across several European and Latin American markets over the decades, its core operations remain focused primarily on Spain and Argentina. The manufacturing of Dia's own-brand food and household items is conducted by a broad network of approved co-packers and suppliers, predominantly based in Spain to support local supply chains, with select specialty goods sourced across the European Union.

Today, the ultimate controlling shareholder of Grupo Dia is LetterOne (LetterOne Holdings S.A.), an international investment firm headquartered in Luxembourg, which acquired a majority controlling stake in the Spanish supermarket operator through its subsidiary L1 Retail.
