DJI Mini Drone

DJI (Da-Jiang Innovations) is a global market leader in civilian drone technology and aerial imaging systems. The DJI Mini series represents its popular ultra-lightweight, compact consumer drone line designed specifically to weigh under 249 grams, adhering to regulatory weight categories across multiple regions including the European Union.

The DJI brand was founded in 2006 by Frank Wang (Wang Tao) while studying at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Wang subsequently set up corporate operations in Shenzhen, China, which serves as the technological hub for drone development and hardware manufacturing.

DJI remains privately held under its parent holding company SZ DJI Technology Co., Ltd., based in Shenzhen, China. All DJI Mini drones are designed and manufactured at the company's dedicated production facilities in China before being distributed worldwide, including through DJI GmbH in Germany.
