The hohes C brand was launched in Germany in 1958 by Eckes (now Eckes-Granini Group) as the country's first bottled, ready-to-drink orange juice rich in vitamin C. It quickly established itself as one of the most prominent juice brands across Central and Western Europe.

Today, hohes C is owned and produced by the Eckes-Granini Group GmbH, which remains an independent, family-owned European beverage company headquartered in Nieder-Olm, Germany. The Austrian market is supplied and managed via its local subsidiary, Eckes-Granini Austria GmbH.
