JLR (formerly Jaguar Land Rover) is a renowned British multinational automotive manufacturer headquartered in Whitley, Coventry, United Kingdom. The brand encompasses iconic automotive heritage traces dating back to the founding of Jaguar (originally Swallow Sidecar Company in 1922) and Land Rover (developed by the Rover Company in 1948). Over decades, the two legendary British marques evolved separately through various parent companies including British Leyland and Ford Motor Company.

In 2008, Indian automotive conglomerate Tata Motors acquired both Jaguar and Land Rover from Ford, subsequently merging them into Jaguar Land Rover Automotive PLC. In 2023, the company officially rebranded its corporate identity as 'JLR' under its 'House of Brands' strategy, which focuses on four core distinct sub-brands: Range Rover, Defender, Discovery, and Jaguar.

While JLR's global engineering, design, and primary manufacturing operations remain centred in the United Kingdom—including historic production plants in Solihull, Castle Bromwich, and Halewood—the company also manufactures vehicles globally in facilities located in Slovakia, China, Brazil, and India.
