MobilePay is a digital wallet and mobile payment application originally developed by Danske Bank and launched in Denmark on May 11, 2013. Designed to make peer-to-peer money transfers effortless via a smartphone, it quickly evolved into the leading payment method for point-of-sale retail, e-commerce, and everyday transactions across Denmark and Finland.

In 2022, Danske Bank merged MobilePay with Vipps, the leading Norwegian mobile payment provider, to establish a unified Nordic mobile wallet powerhouse called Vipps MobilePay. Headquartered in Oslo, Norway, the company operates seamlessly across national borders in the Nordic region, maintaining localized apps while operating on a unified technological platform.
