Bodum Bistro Electric Water Kettle

Bodum is a well-known housewares and kitchen appliance brand founded in Copenhagen, Denmark, in 1944 by Peter Bodum. Renowned globally for its iconic French press coffee makers and minimalist Scandinavian functional design, the brand has expanded into a wide range of electric kitchen appliances, including the Bistro line of water kettles.

While the company originated in Denmark, Bodum relocated its global corporate headquarters to Triengen, Switzerland, in 1978. Bodum remains privately owned by the Bodum family under the holding company Peter Bodum Holding AG (PI-Design AG). Production of their electrical appliances, such as the Bistro electric kettle, is predominantly carried out in China under strict company design and quality standards.
