Haier is a global home appliances and consumer electronics brand originating from Qingdao, Shandong province, China. Founded in 1984 under the leadership of Zhang Ruimin from the restructuring of the Qingdao Refrigerator Factory, the company initially partnered with the German firm Liebherr before adopting the global name Haier.

Today, Haier is managed and owned by the Haier Group Corporation (with its publicly traded arm Haier Smart Home). It stands as one of the world's largest manufacturers of major home appliances, including refrigerators, washing machines, and air conditioning systems. In Europe and France, Haier distributes residential and commercial HVAC units through regional subsidiaries such as Haier Europe / Haier France.

While Haier maintains manufacturing facilities and technical centers across several continents—including Asia, Europe, and the Americas—the majority of its HVAC and air conditioning systems are engineered and manufactured in China and Southeast Asia.
