Discover where a brand or product originates
Lenco was originally founded in 1946 in Burgdorf, Switzerland, by Fritz and Marie Laeng. Known initially for manufacturing high-precision turntables and hi-fi audio equipment, Lenco became a respected household name across Europe throughout the mid-20th century.
After insolvency and ownership transitions during the late 1970s and 1980s, the brand name was acquired by Dutch consumer electronics distributors. Today, Lenco is owned by Commaxx Group (formerly part of the STL Group), headquartered in Nuth, the Netherlands. Like most modern consumer audio equipment and accessories from the brand, Lenco audio systems and their associated infrared remote controls are engineered and manufactured in China.
