Vergina Lager Beer

Vergina Lager is a flagship Greek premium lager beer brewed by the Macedonian Thrace Brewery S.A. (Ζυθοποιία Μακεδονίας Θράκης Α.Ε.). Founded in 1996 by Demetri Politopoulos, the company set out to establish a truly independent, 100% Greek-owned brewing entity in Komotini, Thrace.

Launched in 1998, Vergina became renowned for championing domestic agricultural production, using high-quality local Thracian malted barley and water from the Rodopi mountains. Macedonian Thrace Brewery remains entirely Greek-owned and independent, with manufacturing centered at its modern brewery facilities in the industrial zone of Komotini.
