All classic Zenith console radios of this era were manufactured in the United States, predominantly in Chicago, Illinois. In 1999, the Zenith brand and business were fully acquired by the South Korean consumer electronics multinational LG Electronics, which maintains Zenith Electronics LLC as a research and intellectual property subsidiary.
