Elotrans Electrolyte Glucose Mixture

Elotrans is a well-known German electrolyte-glucose powder mixture designed to treat dehydration and fluid loss caused by diarrheal illnesses. In recent years, it also gained viral popularity in Germany as a hangover prevention remedy.

The product is marketed and distributed by STADA Arzneimittel AG, a major pharmaceutical company based in Bad Vilbel, Germany. STADA was originally established in 1895 in Dresden as a cooperative of pharmacists producing standardized medications.

Today, STADA Arzneimittel AG is primarily owned by private equity firms Bain Capital and Cinven, which acquired the company through Nidda Healthcare Holding. Most of Elotrans's packaging and formulation production is carried out in Germany and wider European manufacturing facilities.
