Bohemia Sekt Demi Sec

Bohemia Sekt Demi Sec is the most famous and widely consumed sparkling wine in the Czech Republic, produced in Starý Plzenec near Plzeň.

The history of sparkling wine production at the Starý Plzenec site dates back to 1942, when wine cellars were established in a former brewery. Under the guidance of cellar master Louis Girardot, Bohemia Sekt grew into an iconic domestic brand.

Today, the producer BOHEMIA SEKT, s.r.o. is part of the German Henkell Freixenet group, which in turn is wholly owned by the German family-owned conglomerate Geschwister Oetker Beteiligungen KG.
