Franziskaner Weissbier Dunkel

Franziskaner Weissbier Dunkel is a traditional dark Bavarian wheat beer originating in Munich, Germany. The roots of Franziskaner date back to 1363, when it was founded near a Franciscan monastery in Munich, making it one of the oldest brewing traditions in Bavaria.

Today, the beer is still brewed in Munich according to the German Reinheitsgebot (Purity Law). Franziskaner is part of the Spaten-Franziskaner-Bräu brewing group, which is owned by Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev), a multinational brewing giant headquartered in Leuven, Belgium. In the United Kingdom, Franziskaner products are imported and distributed via AB InBev's regional subsidiary, Budweiser Brewing Group UK&I.
