Tempo is one of Germany's most iconic hygiene brands, famous for introducing disposable paper tissues to the German market in 1929.

The brand was originally registered by the Vereinigte Papierwerke Nürnberg (owned by the Camill and Oskar Rosenfelder families). In 2007, the brand was acquired by SCA (Svenska Cellulosa Aktiebolaget), which later spun off its hygiene operations in 2017 into Essity AB, a leading global hygiene and health company based in Stockholm, Sweden.

Tempo moist toilet wipes and related tissue products are manufactured across various European facilities operated by Essity, with distribution handled locally through Essity Germany.
