Sofology (commonly misspelled as 'Sophology') is one of the United Kingdom's leading sofa and living room furniture specialists. Originally founded in 1974 in Clayton-le-Moors, Lancashire, England, under the name CSL Sofas by the Tyldesley family, the retailer rebranded to Sofaworks in 2013 before adopting its current identity, Sofology, in 2016 following a trademark dispute.

In November 2017, Sofology was acquired by DFS Furniture plc, the UK's largest sofa retailer and manufacturer. Today, Sofology operates as an autonomous retail fascia within the DFS Group, maintaining its own distinctive retail showroom network across the UK.

Sofology sources its products from specialized manufacturing partners across multiple countries, including the United Kingdom, Poland, Italy, and China, depending on upholstery materials, craftsmanship requirements, and product lines.
