Tomarchio Tortina

Tortina Tomarchio is an iconic Sicilian baked sweet snack manufactured by Pasticceria Tomarchio, an artisan bakery and confectionery enterprise based in the province of Catania, Sicily, Italy. Famous locally and increasingly across Italy for its fluffy texture and straightforward traditional recipe (consisting primarily of flour, sugar, and whole fresh eggs without preservatives), the Tortina is often eaten as a breakfast item or sweet snack.

Pasticceria Tomarchio was founded in the 1960s by Angelo Tomarchio and has remained an independent family-owned business headquartered in Aci Sant'Antonio (Catania). All baking and packaging operations take place at their dedicated production facility in Sicily.

Note that this bakery brand is entirely distinct and independent from Sibat Tomarchio, the renowned Sicilian soft drinks manufacturer that produces citrus sodas. Although both brands originate in eastern Sicily and share the traditional local surname Tomarchio, they operate in completely different food sectors under separate family ownership.
