Nerds Gummy Clusters Berry

Nerds candy was created in 1983 by the Willy Wonka Candy Factory, which was a brand originally developed by Sunmark Corporation (and later acquired by Nestlé in 1988). The Gummy Clusters innovation combines a chewy gummy center covered in miniature crunchy, tangy Nerds pieces.

In 2018, Ferrero Group acquired Nestlé's U.S. confectionery business, which included iconic candy lines such as Nerds, Butterfinger, Baby Ruth, and SweeTARTS. Ferrero integrated these brands under its Ferrara Candy Company subsidiary, which continues to manufacture Nerds products primarily at its facilities in the United States, including its primary manufacturing plant in Forest Park and Itasca, Illinois.
