Meaco Sefte Desk Fan

Meaco is a British company established in 1991, originally founded by Chris and Michelle Michael. The brand gained prominence as a specialist in air treatment, focusing on dehumidifiers and cooling solutions. The Sefte range represents their premium line of quiet, energy-efficient fans designed for residential and office use. Although Meaco is headquartered in the United Kingdom where all product engineering and design take place, the manufacturing of their units, including the Sefte series, is outsourced to specialized electronics manufacturing facilities in China.

In early 2024, Meaco was acquired by the U.S.-based Helen of Troy Limited. This acquisition integrated Meaco into a global portfolio that includes other major lifestyle and home brands like OXO and Honeywell (under license). While Meaco continues to operate with its distinct British identity and engineering standards, its ultimate ownership and strategic direction are now managed from Helen of Troy's headquarters in the United States, providing the brand with broader international distribution and resource support.
