Remington is one of America's most storied brands, founded in 1816 by Eliphalet Remington in Ilion, New York. Over two centuries, it became a titan in the firearms and ammunition industry. Following the bankruptcy and restructuring of Remington Outdoor Company in 2020, the brand's ammunition business was acquired by Vista Outdoor.

Currently, Remington ammunition is produced primarily in Lonoke, Arkansas, by the Remington Ammunition company. As of 2024 and beyond, following the planned separation of Vista Outdoor's business units, the ammunition division—including the Remington brand—operates under the Kinetic Group. The production remains centered in the United States, maintaining its long-standing heritage of being 'Proudly Loaded in the USA by American Workers'.
