Jack Link's is a globally recognized brand specializing in meat snacks, particularly beef jerky and meat sticks. The brand traces its origins back to the 1880s when Chris Link settled in Minong, Wisconsin, bringing family sausage recipes from Germany. However, the modern Jack Link's Beef Jerky brand was officially founded by his great-grandson, Jack Link, in 1986.
Today, the company remains a family-owned business under Link Snacks, Inc. While its headquarters and primary manufacturing facilities remain in the United States, particularly in Wisconsin and South Dakota, the brand has expanded its production footprint globally to meet international demand. This includes significant manufacturing operations in Brazil (following the acquisition of a division of JBS) and New Zealand. In Mexico, the products are widely available through various distributors and major retailers, maintaining their position as a leader in the protein snack category.
