Bonnat is one of the world's most prestigious artisan chocolatiers, founded in 1884 by Félix Bonnat in Voiron, France. The brand is renowned for being a pioneer in 'bean-to-bar' production, particularly for its 'Grands Crus' line which highlights cocoa beans from single estates or specific geographic origins long before the concept became a mainstream trend in the industry.

The manufacturing process remains strictly traditional and family-led, taking place at their historic site in Voiron. Unlike many historic confectionery brands that have been acquired by multinational conglomerates, Bonnat has maintained its independence for over 140 years. It is currently managed by Stéphane Bonnat, representing the fourth generation of the family. The company continues to source its cocoa directly from farmers worldwide, ensuring that the entire production cycle from roasting to tempering is controlled within their French facility.
