ProViva Pineapple Apple Ginger fruit drink

ProViva is a Swedish probiotic fruit drink brand that was born out of scientific research at Lund University in the late 1980s. The unique Lactobacillus plantarum 299v bacteria was developed by Probi AB and combined with a fruit base by Sknemejerier to create the first ProViva product, which launched in 1994. The drink is specifically designed to support digestive health through its high concentration of 'good' bacteria.

Today, the brand is owned by the French multinational food-products corporation Danone. Following a joint venture established in 2010, Danone took a majority stake in ProViva, integrating it into its global portfolio of health-focused dairy and plant-based products. Production for the Swedish market continues to take place primarily in Lunnarp, Sweden, maintaining its local roots while benefiting from Danone's international distribution and marketing scale.
