Pacer (Marathon) confectionery

Pacer was a popular brand of mint-flavored chews, originally launched in the United Kingdom. It was initially introduced under the name 'Opal Mints' as a sister product to Opal Fruits (now Starburst) before being rebranded to Pacer in the 1970s. The sweets were well-known for their iconic green and white striped packaging and their peppermint flavor.

Throughout its history, the brand was manufactured by Mars, Incorporated in their UK facilities. Despite its significant popularity during the 1970s and 1980s, the product was eventually discontinued in the 1980s as the parent company consolidated its global brand portfolio. Today, the brand remains under the ultimate ownership of Mars, though it is no longer in active production.
