Arc'teryx apparel

Arc'teryx is a high-end technical outdoor clothing and equipment brand founded in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, in 1989. The brand name and logo refer to the Archaeopteryx, the earliest known bird, representing evolutionary change. Originally starting as Rock Solid Manufacturing, the company gained fame for its innovative climbing harnesses and later expanded into performance apparel.

While the brand maintains a design center and a manufacturing facility known as ARC'One in New Westminster, British Columbia, the majority of its production is now distributed across a global supply chain. This includes facilities in China, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Bangladesh to meet global demand. Despite the shift in manufacturing locations, the brand maintains rigorous quality control standards associated with its premium positioning.

Since 2019, Arc'teryx has been part of Amer Sports, a global sporting goods group. Amer Sports was acquired by a consortium led by the Chinese sportswear giant Anta Sports Products Limited. Consequently, while the brand's creative heart remains in Canada, its ultimate ownership is rooted in China through Anta Sports.
