Förstina Spritzig Mineral Water

Förstina Spritzig is a natural carbonated mineral water originating from Eichenzell near Fulda, in the Hesse region of Germany. The brand has a deep history as a family-owned enterprise, established by Justus Ehrhardt in 1928. It is well-regarded for its high calcium content, which it draws from deep underground sources in the Rhön Biosphere Reserve.

In early 2024, the family-owned Förstina-Sprudel Mineral- und Heilquelle Ehrhardt & Sohn GmbH & Co. was acquired by the HassiaGroup. This acquisition integrated Förstina into one of Germany's largest branded beverage producers. Despite the change in ownership, production remains centered at the original site in Eichenzell to maintain the water's distinct mineral composition and regional identity.
