Ziggo Connect

Ziggo Connect refers to the suite of broadband internet and networking services provided by Ziggo, the leading cable operator in the Netherlands. The brand is a central pillar of the Dutch telecommunications landscape, offering high-speed fiber-coaxial internet, television, and telephony services. While the service infrastructure is physically located within the Netherlands, the hardware used for 'Connect' services, such as routers and set-top boxes, is typically manufactured in global technology hubs like China and Vietnam through various OEM partners.

The Ziggo brand was established in 2008 following the merger of Multikabel, Casema, and @Home. It has since undergone significant corporate shifts, most notably its acquisition by the international telecommunications giant Liberty Global. In 2016, a strategic joint venture was formed between Liberty Global and Vodafone Group, leading to the creation of VodafoneZiggo. This partnership integrated mobile and fixed-line services, positioning Ziggo as a converged media brand. The ultimate ownership remains split between these two multinational entities, headquartered in the United Kingdom and the United States/United Kingdom respectively.
